Description: The Reinharts have their origins in Ad Reinhart's grid paintings. This series uses a three-by-three grid within a three-by-three grid. Unsurprisingly, the square is a format that many modern artists have explored and tried to master - for instance Reinhart, Stella, Anuszkiewicz, Albers.
Why should I not add my efforts and commentary? I am particularly impressed with the wide range of expression available in such an apparently simple and basic foundation.
Pavilion is the sixth (6th) painting in the Reinhardt series. In this Reinhart, I look at the singing quality of emerald green as it escapes its walls of blues.
