michelle obama despises america - and why it matters

Mister and Missus Obama show an ongoing pattern of misjudgment.

Obama and the Obama campaign tried desperately to spin Michelle’s first slip-up as not being what she meant, but it is clear from the repetition and her other comments that it was, indeed, her real attitude.

Why is this important? After all she isn’t going for ‘king of the hill’. It is, of course, important as she is obviously highly, compatible with her hubby.

Consider Obama’s other dubious friends, his poor judgemental and his extreme leftism, alongside his regular reaching for the yellow button when put on the line in the Senate.

This man is obviously not good news for America.

And how good is Mrs Obama as an ambassador abroad for America?

“February 18, 2008 8:24 PM
Speaking in Milwaukee, Wisconsin today, would-be First Lady Michelle Obama said, "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.” [Quoted from abcnews.com]

Here is another Missis Obama statement receiving very little comment:

“Obama begins with a broad assessment of life in America in 2008, and life is not good: we're a divided country, we're a country that is "just downright mean," we are "guided by fear," we're a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents. "We have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day," she said, as heads bobbed in the pews. "Folks are just jammed up, and it's gotten worse over my lifetime. And, doggone it, I'm young. Forty-four!" ”[Quoted from newsbusters.org]

“my experiences at princeton have made me far more aware of my blackness than ever before” - missis obarma

From the item:-

“The 1985 thesis provides a trove of Michelle Obama's thoughts as a young woman, with many of the paper's statements describing the student's world as seen through a race-based prism.”

And a quote from the missis:-

“I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility.”

how obama reached the senate and how he behaves once there

“But this time nobody could possibly blame him, though the mysterious figure of his feared spin-doctor David Axelrod lurks in the background here, and some suspect his hand in at least some of Obama's luck.

“The first slice of good fortune was that the seat was empty - the incumbent suddenly retired, citing "family issues".

“The former Democratic holder of the seat, prominent black politician Carol Moseley Braun, could have had it for the asking - and Obama would not have dared challenge her - but she ruled herself out.

“That still left a couple of major Democratic challengers. But Obama unexpectedly won union support and wiped out one of them.

“The second, Blair Hull, was a tougher proposition until details of his divorce papers were unsealed, revealing his wife's accusations of abuse, which virtually destroyed him.

“Obama won the Democratic nomination.

“To win election to the Senate, Obama would have had a major battle against Republican Jack Ryan. But then Ryan's divorce papers were also unsealed, revealing that his wife Jeri - an actress famous for her tight costumes in Star Trek: Voyager - had accused him of pressuring her to have sex in public in kinky clubs.

“Ryan denied it, but that was the end of him.”

And more.

voting ‘present’ - pressing the the yellow chicken button [1]

“ "What's stopped us is the failure of leadership, the smallness of our politics - the ease with which we're distracted by the petty and trivial, our chronic avoidance of tough decisions," Obama said in his announcement speech. But a closer look at the presidential candidate's record in the Illinois Legislature reveals something seemingly contradictory: a number of occasions when Obama avoided making hard choices.

“While some conservatives and Republicans surely will harp on what they call his "liberal record," highlighting applicable votes to support their case, it's Obama's history of voting "present" in Springfield - even on some of the most controversial and politically explosive issues of the day - that raises questions that he will need to answer. Voting "present" is one of three options in the Illinois Legislature (along with "yes" and "no"), but it's almost never an option for the occupant of the Oval Office.”

extreme left

“[...] when it suited him he would vote as far Left as he could. "No one was further Left. He would do things that were unrealistic to prove he was Left.

“ "He was not far Left for political benefit but because he was a true believer.

“ "But these would be on broad-brush issues - unlike, say, detailed abortion laws - where it was unlikely to be held against him. I have never heard anyone say so little about detailed policies . . . He has moderated his tones, but I don't think he has moderated his beliefs," said Brady. [Illinois State Senator Bill Brady]” [Quoted from dailymail.co.uk]

Obama’s links with corruption

“Rezko's slum housing, Obama's district

“On April 23, 2007, Tim Novak reported in the Chicago Sun-Times that Antoin "Tony" Rezko had thirty (30) slum buildings for which he received more than $100 million "from city and state agencies," eleven (11) of which were located geographically in then-Illinois State Senator (1996-2004) Barack Obama's "compact state senate district," Chicago's Andy Martin wrote April 30, 2007.”

Read on.....

“In June 2005, Obama and Rezko purchased adjoining parcels in Kenwood. The state's junior senator paid $1.65 million for a Georgian revival mansion, while Rezko paid $625,000 for the adjacent, undeveloped lot. Both closed on their properties on the same day.

“Last January, aiming to increase the size of his sideyard, Obama paid Rezko $104,500 for a strip of his land.

“The transaction occurred at a time when it was widely known Tony Rezko was under investigation by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and as other Illinois politicians befriended by Rezko distanced themselves from him.”

“Obama and Rezko have been friends since 1990, and Obama said the Wilmette businessman raised as much as $60,000 for him during his political career. After Rezko's indictment, Obama donated $11,500 to charity--a total that represents what Rezko contributed to the senator's federal campaign fund.” [Quoted from suntimes.com]

Here is a report of the shenanigans.

Obama purchased the house for less than market rate. Rezko purchased the adjoining lot, enabling Obama to buy the house, and then Rezko sold him a portion of the lot.

I suspect Rezko purchased his plot at over-price to make up for the lower price paid by Obama for the next-door property, and then sold a bit back to Obama.

Obama has taken donations from Rezko, and has been involved with him for most of 20 years.

There is a very long history of crooked (Democrat) politics in Chicago, where Rezko operates. Money has been paid by ‘Chicago’ to house the poor. There are reports the houses have not been maintained or refurbished. Then there are ‘donations’ to the Chicago politicians from those who obtained the contracts.

Is this what Obama means by “working with the poor”?

Rezko is now in jail pending trial for corruption and kickbacks regarding local government. He has been accused of laundering money from the Middle East, among other peccadilloes. Rezko is Syrian by birth (to a Christian family).

Obama has since tried to distance himself from his friend.

“28/1/08
Antoin "Tony" Rezko was arrested early Monday at his Chicago-area home by federal agents on an alleged bond violation, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune

“The Obamas' mansion, which they bought for $1.65 million in June 2005, sits on a not-so-quiet corner amid other mansions. They purchased it after Obama struck his $1.9 million book deal with Random House and Crown Publishers, a loophole in the ethics laws that limit how members of Congress can make money on the side.”

“Obama said it was always his understanding that Rezko, a real estate developer, intended to build on the lot. It would be more of a favor if he didn't. Rezko definitely did Obama a favor by selling him the 10-foot strip of land, making his own parcel less attractive for development, although still legally buildable.

“Rezko is somebody who collects politicians, doing them favors in hopes of a future return on his investment. His main foot in the door is political fund-raising, but he also looks for a more personal approach, such as steering real estate business to the wife of Gov. Blagojevich.”

“Assuming the lot sizes are the same the undeveloped land should be 1/3 of the total price of the developed as a rule of thumb. But Rezco has admitted paying more than the price of the lot while Obama paid less than the price of the home.” [Quoted from freerepublic.com]

“ [...] It is nothing short of a political godfather story. The tale of an eager, brilliant, ambitious man wanting to rise in politics, and the man who had the money to make it happen. It's the real true tale of Barack Obama and Antoin "Tony" Rezko and the Faustian political deal made in the quest for power, fame and political prowess, which would eventually lead to a bid for the presidency. The fact that Obama won't mention the name of the guy who made his rise to political prominence possible out loud illustrates the efforts to which Obama, with the aid of a mostly negligent press, has been able to make Rezko a forbidden word to utter, instead of an issue that we all should know a lot more about.” [Quoted from huffingtonpost.com. Huffington Post is a left-wing source.]

“In a large urban area such as Chicago state senate districts are not very large. They encompass several compact and contiguous neighborhoods. If you walked the district even occasionally you would know, you should know, almost every large building in the district," Martin wrote.”

“Should I have known these buildings were in a state of disrepair? My answer would be that it wasn't brought to my attention,' the Chicago Sun-Times reported Obama said. 'As far as I can tell, we were never contacted by Rezko tenants.” [Quoted from rezkowatch.blogspot.com]

“Obama, who has worked as a lawyer and a legislator to improve living conditions for the poor, took campaign donations from Rezko even as Rezko's low-income housing empire was collapsing, leaving many African-American families in buildings riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions, vacant apartments, lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.” [Quoted from suntimes.com]

Obama, in fact, makes great play of his working the local streets and communities for a decade or two. He was at it again only yesterday [12 March 2008].

obama and black nationalism

As Obama attempts to wriggle out of the problems with Wright, he veers ever more closely towards open dishonesty. I have no doubt that he was fully aware of Wright’s position. Obama even named his second book after the theme of one of Wright’s sermons. In that sermon, Wright referred to:

“It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks' greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere... That’s the world! On which hope sits!” [p.293, Dreams of my father]

Wright is extremely forceful in suggesting that James Cone is a brilliant theologian. Here are quotes from Cone:

“Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community … Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.

“In the black liberation theology taught by Wright, Cone and Hopkins, Jesus Christ is not for all men, but only for the oppressed:

“In the New Testament, Jesus is not for all, but for the oppressed, the poor and unwanted of society, and against oppressors … Either God is for black people in their fight for liberation and against the white oppressors, or he is not [Cone].” [Quoted from thepoliticalpost.wordpress.com]

Marker at abelard.org

“The time has come for white America to be silent and listen to black people. . . . All white men are responsible for white oppression. . . . Theologically, Malcolm X was not far wrong when he called the white man 'the devil.'. . . Any advice from whites to blacks on how to deal with white oppression is automatically under suspicion as a clever device to further enslavement.”

“Black suffering is getting worse, not better. . . . White supremacy is so clever and evasive that we can hardly name it. It claims not to exist, even though black people are dying daily from its poison” [Black Theology and Black Power, 1969, quoted from freerepublic.com]

And this is Obama writing about Malcom X:

“Only Malcolm X's autobiography seemed to offer something different. His repeated acts of self-creation spoke to me; the blunt poetry of his words, his unadorned insistence on respect, promised a new and uncompromising order, martial in its discipline, forged through sheer force of will. All the other stuff, the talk of blue-eyed devils and apocalypse, was incidental to that program, I decided, religious baggage that Malcolm himself seemed to have safely abandoned toward the end of his life. And yet, even as I imagined myself following Malcolm's call, one line in the book stayed me. He spoke of a wish he'd once had, the wish that the white blood that tan through him, there by an act of violence, might somehow be expunged. I knew that, for Malcolm, that wish would never be incidental. I knew as well that traveling down the road to self-respect my own white blood would never recede into mere abstraction. I was left to wonder what else I would be severing if and when I left my mother and my grandparents at some uncharted border.” [p.86, Dreams of my father]

I find Obama’s book to be bizarre in its rambling concentration on his ‘blackness’, which verges on monomania. At the same time, the white side of his family, although far more central to his upbringing, is treated as a shadow world.

My conclusion is that Obama is far more steeped in his black nationalism than he ever lets slip outside the confines of his various dubious relationships and his ‘black church’.

See also, and listen to, the racist rant of a guest preacher at Obama’s church, which rant persuaded Obama to finally cut ties with that church.

  • Antoin Rezko, a Syrian, big money influence peddler in Chicago politics, now under indictment.

  • Jeremiah Wright, pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ, and friend of Louis Farrakhan.

Spoken by Pastor Wright [from transcripts and recordings of sermons]:

“ "Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people! Hillary can never know that. Hillary ain’t never been called a [n-expletive]." ”

“ "Oh, I am so glad that I have a God who knows what it’s like to be a poor, black man in a country, in a culture that is controlled and run by rich, white people. He taught me, Jesus did, how to love my enemies." ”

The implication being that Obama is like Jesus.

“ "Jesus had his own people siding with the enemy.

Here, Wright is even effectively calling any ‘blacks’ who would not vote Obama as traitors to being ‘blacks’.

That’s why I love Jesus, y’all. He never let their hatred dampen his hope." ”

[From Amanda Carpenter] “Obama has attended Wright’s south side Chicago church, the Trinity United Church of Christ, for the last 20 years and told reporters in the past he didn’t think there as “anything particularly controversial” about Wright.”

I suspect Obama has the same poison in his head:
whining, victim playing, etc. Obama was not deprived to any serious extent at any time in his life.

Feeding this sort of poison to uneducated blacks, it’s little wonder they turn out dysfunctional. Wright is deranged.

I think they (Wright and Obama) are exploiting ignorant and uneducated ‘blacks’. I am strongly inclined to judge that to be deliberate.

It is Obama who is the racist, and he is using the typical crook’s defence: ‘He done it gov’, he’s playing it for all he can get.

“The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.” [Quoted from worldnetdaily.com]

And much else.

Obama and his ranting pastor, part two [15.03.2008]

Obama is now, implausibly, claiming he knew nothing about this; but if you look in the first section above, on Michelle, you will see the same negative extremism reflected in her expostulations.

Obama is a very secretive operator, whereas Michelle is seriously dim, impulsive and naive, and thereby tends to shoot from the hip.

Meanwhile, Obama has accompanied Michelle to that church, and sat beside her year after year. It stretches credulity to breaking point to believe that Obama is not wholly complicit in the emotionalism and nonsense that Wright spews from his pulpit week by week.

I have read Obama’s first book, written when his evasiveness was not quite as high as it is today. If read carefully and between the lines, there is considerable material to generate some understanding of this highly secretive and slippery customer. Here follow a couple of quotes.

Here is Obama reporting on a relation’s view of Obama’s natural grandfather:

“What your grandfather respected was strength [...] But he could not understand such ideas as mercy towards your enemies, or that this man Jesus could wash away a man’s sins. To your grandfather, this was a foolish sentiment, something to comfort women. And so he converted to Islam—he thought its practices conformed more closely to his beliefs.” [p.407, Dreams from my father, hbk]

And here is Obama on his Muslim stepfather:

“ "Your mother has a soft heart [he said] That’s a good thing in a woman. But you will be a man someday, and a man needs to have more sense." ”[p.39]

“I thought for a moment. "Why was the man killed? The one you saw?"
“ "Because he was weak."
“ "That’s all?"
“Lolo shrugged and rolled his pant leg back down. “That’s usually enough. Men take advantage of weakness in other men. They’re just like countries in that way. The strong man takes the weak man’s land. He makes the weak man work in his fields. If the weak man’s woman is pretty, the strong man will take her." He paused to take another sip of water, then asked, "Which would you rather be?"
“I didn’t answer, and Lolo squinted up to the sky. "Better to be strong," he said finally, rising to his feet. "If you can’t be strong, be clever and make peace with someone who’s strong. But always better to be strong yourself. Always." ” [pp. 40-41]

    Review:
The book is badly written, disorganised, dull and intellectually shallow. To add to the chaos, it lacks an index. I therefore cannot recommend it, other than as a source for psychologists, political wonks and just maybe for bubble-headed groupies.

“There’s nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude," Obama told ABC News in an April 11 interview.” [Quoted from elections.foxnews.com]
